Marico Oog (means Marico Eye) is a natural spring close to the town Groot Marico.  "Die Oog" is popular and known for its crystal clear water and water lilies growing in abundance.   Divers say that the water is so clear,  one can see the full moon from underwater on a night dive.  One enters the water from a deck surrounded by reeds, and dives between the lilly fronds to the centre of the Die Oog, situated at a depth of about 14 metres.  Die Oog gives you the idea of  a  water nymphs playground, with the sun shining underwater through the curling roots of the lilies and soft moss growing on the bottom.  One comment:  God must indeed have been in a good mood when He created Marico Oog.
